One of the reasons our patients rave about us is because we work hard — and it shows. From our compassionate professionalism to our welcoming office, we take pride in building real relationships with our patients.

This commitment to our patients extends outside of working hours, though. Here at Hutta & Price Orthodontics, we know that we’re only as good as our technology. That’s why, whenever possible, we avoid using outside labs for orthodontic appliances. We feel that the best approach to our patients is to give them the latest and most effective technological options so they can feel confident in their decision to partner with us on crafting their healthiest, brightest smile.

Below, we’ve compiled information on our most trusted technologies.

Traditionally, orthodontic journeys may have started out less than glamorously: Physical models of teeth were created by having patients bite into putty-filled trays. Since it is necessary to obtain a model of the teeth, technological developments in the orthodontic field have evolved with the creation of the iTero Element Intraoral Scanner.

The iTero Element Intraoral Scanner completely eliminates the anxiety and discomfort associated with biting into putty. Using iTero, our practice can digitally capture a detailed 3-D model of your teeth and gums. After teeth are scanned, they are appraised using our imaging software, Netfab.

The comfort and efficiency of iTero places this technology in a class of its own, and it only gets better! iTero is also compatible with the Invisalign® system, which enables patients to see a picture of what their smile will look like post-treatment.

The way your teeth meet together is known as an occlusion. When this ideal isn’t met, it is called a malocclusion. An open bite is when the upper and lower front teeth do not come together when the mouth is closed. This affects both the appearance of your smile and can also cause difficulty speaking.

No matter your age, everyone deserves a great smile! Adults can take advantage of clear aligners and less noticeable braces from Dr. Hutta and Dr. Price.

This machine allows us to create clear retainers, bleaching trays, athletic mouthguards, and clear aligners for our patients. We love having this capability right here in our practice, because it allows us to ensure the quality of your new mouthpiece by pressing, trimming, and polishing it ourselves.

We recently invested in a brand-new Instrumentarium 3-D CBCT X-ray unit. We love it for its high-quality 2-D and 3-D diagnostic images and its “Low Dose Technology” (LDT) scans. LDT delivers optimized cone-beam scans at a radiation dose up to five times lower than typical 2-D panoramic X-rays.

Having the Instrumentarium on site also means no extra trips to an imaging center, and it empowers us to provide full and accurate assessments of our patients’ teeth and jaws. We are able to catch disease and pathology that a 2-D X-ray might have missed. We are also able to capture high-quality images of the airway and TMJ to address any concerns our patients may have.

With all this technology available to streamline your treatment, it only makes sense to invest in a quality system to store our patients’ electronic files and lab prescriptions. The EasyRx system allows us to organize and maintain patient information easily throughout treatment, and it also enables us to communicate with our in-house and outside labs digitally, which means that all communications are stored and consolidated within one system.

You’re Worth It!

We’re proud of our patients and want them to know it. We hope you enjoy the benefits of all these awesome technologies that we’ve handpicked just for you. Choosing only the very best for our patients is a decision that comes easily to us here at Hutta & Price Orthodontics.
