A HEALTHY HAPPY SMILE
Creating a beautiful smile through orthodontics is one way to improve your self-esteem as well as the health of your teeth. Left untreated, crooked teeth can lead to tooth decay, tooth loss, gum disease, improper bite, and unnecessary self-consciousness. Orthodontics is a dental specialty for the diagnosis of dental and facial irregularities in both children and adults. An orthodontist designs, applies, and controls appliances (braces) which correct abnormally placed teeth. The goal of the orthodontist is to achieve balance and harmony between the teeth and face for a lifetime of beautiful healthy smiles.

LENGTH OF TREATMENT
The duration of treatment varies depending on the complexity of the problem. Most cases, however, last from one to three years. During that time you will need to keep appointments, follow instructions, as well as practice good oral hygiene and proper nutrition. Also, continue to visit your dentist regularly

COST OF TREATMENT
Orthodontic fees vary depending on the severity of the problem and length of treatment. Most insurance plans partially cover orthodontics, and we will gladly work with your insurance provider to help offset the cost of treatment. Flexible payment arrangements without interest can be arranged. Simply put, braces are one of the best investments you can make in your appearance and health.

TYPES OF BRACES
Dr. Hutta stays current on the latest state-of-the-art technology to provide his patients with the most efficient bracket system available, and offers the new Damon bracket system which is a low friction bracket that reduces treatment time.

Ceramic brackets bond onto the outside surfaces of your teeth, similar to conventional braces. Their clear or natural color gives them a less noticeable, "camouflaged" look.

Conventional (silver or gold) braces are the most familiar type. They consist of metal bands on the back teeth, and bonded brackets on the outside surfaces of the front teeth with a connecting archwire between them. Conventional outside brackets are often recommended for certain types of treatment. They are also the most cost-effective.
